I've reached the age at which you can drink, stay out late, and basically not have any rules to abide by. However, by the time I got to 18, I already felt like an adult. When I was younger, I stayed at home a lot, as I was not allowed to go out frequently. I cleaned the house and made homework my priority.

I turned to books and writing, which allowed me to escape and find a hidden passion. I've wanted to become a journalist since I was 15 and have worked so hard to fill my CV. Last year, I took two Tower Hamlets Summer University courses: a Create Your Own Magazine course and a Woman's Magazine Photography and Collage course. I also did some work experience on You magazine, and this year I am writing for Summer Uni's Nang! magazine.

I know exactly what I want out of life - all since I was set free and spread my wings. As Rupert Everett said in a recent interview I did with him, all you need is sheer determination, and anything you want is yours.
