My Life: Errol, 17, East London

Never in a million years did I think that volunteering as a peer motivator at Summer Uni could contrast so many activities in a six-week span. From routine register checks to jet skiing, meetings, and visits to The Times newspaper.

The peer motivator course encompassed an unimaginable amount of fun into such a short time, and improved my ability to use my initiative.

My training involved learning life skills such as first aid and conflict resolution. I also met a whole group of new friends from diverse backgrounds and areas of London.

Summer Uni provided me with opportunity to write for youth magazine NANG!, which has only increased my love for journalism.

In the future, I want to pursue my dream to be a music journalist - a dream which Summer Uni helped me to see a bit clearer.
