My life: Robert McIntyre 17, Dundee

1 min read
I've just been to Westminster to get a UK Achievers Award from Rathbone. I don't go out of Dundee that much and it was the first time my dad and mum had ever been to London.

I was really nervous. I've never met a politician before and Parliament is just a place you see on the news. I couldn't believe it when I got my award from the MP Beverley Hughes and that I was in the news back in Dundee.

Before that, I had my picture taken in Manchester for the brochure. The photographer was a laugh and kept making jokes about me supporting Rangers. My folks were really proud when they saw it and so were the people I work with at the Arc Car Wash and at Rathbone Dundee.

Nobody's really said "well done" to me like this before. I found it hard at school but Rathbone have made me feel really good about myself. Now I think I can do any job I want. Maybe even Prime Minister. Watch out Gordon Brown.
