I like to get out and about. Well, let's be honest, who doesn't.

And one of the best things about being a principal youth officer is not being permanently stuck behind a desk. But don't think that it's easy being a PYO at large. Compared with the familiar office routine, where everything's nice and safe, it can be really daunting having to go to new places and meet new people.

What to wear? What to say? What train do you get on? Being out of the office is full of difficult choices. Make the wrong one and you end up in a pair of trainers in a room full of suits. Or in the wrong room altogether.
