You may be surprised to hear that seven young people in Southend live in fear of flooding. Strange, but true. And would you have guessed that tornadoes top the chart for another three? Even stranger, but still true.
OneVoice is the name of one of our youth consultation projects. Two or three times a year we survey young people's views on a wide range of issues.
Partners from across the council and from other local organisations are invited to submit questions that we turn into a single survey. Young people are then invited to come along to an event where in return for telling us their views, they get to have some free fun. This time it was tenpin bowling on Southend seafront. And apart from being made to wear those red and black shoes for a whole afternoon, the event went really well.
