One of the best things about writing for Young People Now is that, each week, someone from the magazine takes the time to check my column for spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and general typos. I'm very grateful to whoever does the proofreading. And I guess you should be too.

You see, although I may have a reasonable grasp of the English language and a couple of typing qualifications to my name, that doesn't mean I don't make the odd blunder.

Thanks to the computer spelling and grammar check, most of my mistakes get picked up before I even email the column in. But it's still very reassuring to know that the proofreader will catch those that do get away.
