Back Page: Last Word

1 min read

I've never been what you would call a bookworm. The last book I read from beginning to end was called The Seagull. I was only 10 at the time. And I'm not even sure if that was really out of choice.

Things haven't changed that much in the past 20 years, although now when people tell me how much they love reading I wonder if I'm missing out on something.

My problem is that I have to read so much at work that I can't seem to associate it with something you do in your own time. You know what it's like; you get sent new research reports, government strategies and local plans all the time. They all need reading. And although most of it is interesting stuff, it's not exactly what you call fun.
