Well that's it for another year. I start back at work tomorrow after my two weeks of sightseeing and sitting in the sun.
It was good. Lots of time to rest and relax with nothing much to think about apart from where and when to eat and drink.
And boy, did I need it. The truth hit me at the airport. There I was at the check-in desk when I was unexpectedly asked for the name and number of my next of kin. Thanks to speed-dialling I have no idea what my mum's number is. Before I could think I found myself blurting out the name of our administration officer and the youth office phone number. Before you could say "upgrade" (which no-one did) it was typed into the American Airlines computer. I'd just made the person I share my office with my next of kin for two weeks. And she didn't even know.
