I like work. But I like holidays even more, especially the two-week type. And hopefully by the time you read this I shall be on mine.

Sitting on a beach in the sun, a million miles away from it all.

I'm not planning to do very much apart from some serious relaxation, with nothing more to worry about than whether to go for a Solero or a Magnum. Decisions, decisions.

I think I say this every year, but I feel like I really need the rest.

I've had a hectic few months and it feels like I've been working non-stop.

I've been doing daytimes, evenings and weekends, attending meetings, special events and training. It feels like it's never-ending. Even when I'm not in work it feels as though I'm thinking about it. Youth work certainly isn't a nine-to-five occupation, and sometimes it can be really difficult to switch off from it all.
