Who else is in your meetings? Apart from young people, we have our chief executive, operations managers, the head of VT Careers Management - a careers guidance provider - and a participation worker from the Children's Fund.
How did you get the job? Before I got this job, I was a development officer, supporting local young people aged 16 to 19 who are doing work-based learning. Before that I completed a leisure management degree, which helped me to plan sports programmes for young people. What is the best part of the job? Working with a wide variety of young people and them being able to say what they think of the services provided for them. I've learned to be adaptable to different young people's needs, especially as they aren't political and tend to just say it how it is when in meetings with adults.
