I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, but I always knew I wanted to help other people.

I wanted to stay off the streets because I had cut off a lot of friends who I felt were no good for me and were going in a direction I didn't want to. If people say you're useless, chances are you turn to the wrong type of people for help and trap yourself.

I met Katy from True Vision Production in 2006 at my local youth club. I started expressing my views on life on and off the streets and I told her about my love of films.

When Channel 4 decided to take some films from us, I was speechless. I wanted the short films to uplift the community.
