Funding for youth organisations that address the issues faced by young people from ethnic minority groups

Funding Grants worth more than £50m have been given since the the foundation's launch in 1999.

Funder Established in 1999, the Jack Petchey Foundation supports programmes and projects that provide young people in London and Essex with the opportunity to broaden their horizons. The majority of its grants are awarded through its Achievement and Leader Awards Scheme, but the foundation also gives cash through project grants, major grants and sponsorship schemes.

Aim The foundation is eager to encourage 11- to 25-year-olds to get involved with their local communities. It will fund youth organisations and schemes that address the issues faced by young people from ethnic minority groups. The foundation will also fund any youth club or group offering positive opportunities for young people, as well as the training of youth workers.
