NCB's Library and Information Service has produced it's latest 'highlight' on self-harm.
The highlight covers definitions, prevalence, international comparisons and trends in self-harm methods. The author Cathy Street also explores gender, ethnicity and age characteristics, reasons and risk factors, mental health problems, links with suicide and help for children and young people who self-harm.
NCB's highlights are comprehensive research summaries with extensive bibliographies, and are available free to NCB members and £3 for nonmembers.
