"With the largest collection of materials about children's and young people's issues in the UK, NCB's library is an invaluable resource," said Nicola Hilliard, head of NCB's Library and Information Service.
"The aim of this event was to help health information professionals get maximum benefit from our expertise".
The event, which attracted professionals from a range of organisations, such as hospital trusts and charities, included the opportunity to sign up for a free trial of ChildData - NCB's flagship online information resource.
"It was a very interesting morning," commented Rachel Brougham, information assistant at the King's Fund. "Before today's event I wasn't fully aware of NCB's work, but now I know exactly who they are and when to refer to them in the future."
