NCB Now: NCB library informing children's sector

1 min read
The NCB library houses the UK's biggest collection of publications relevant to the children and young people's sector, including classic texts and historical journal titles.

This unique, comprehensive and multi-disciplinary collection of books, journals and literature, located at NCB's Wakley Street offices, is managed by an experienced staff who are always on hand to help users.

Nicola Hilliard, head of the Library and Information Service, said: "Libraries are like art galleries - you know you should visit. It will do you good and deepen your understanding. It's not enough to view the paintings online - you need to see them up close. So it is with libraries. There is nothing like being amongst the live collection and being able to ask for help and advice."

However, for researchers who cannot make the journey to Wakley Street, many of the library's resources are available electronically, along with summaries of the news, latest policy developments and details of new publications and journal articles.
