NCB Now: ChildData relaunches

1 min read
The NCB Library and Information Service will relaunch ChildData, the UK's only online database specifically focused on children and young people, at the end of April.

The new look website will have improved navigation and a more streamlined design. ChildData's two most popular components - the library catalogue and the Children in the News archive - will be improved in terms of content and accessibility.

For the UK-based academic, student, practitioner or researcher, there is no other resource as exclusively children and young people-focused as ChildData. It offers comprehensive online access to information on published policy, current and pending legislation, examples of practice and research from current thinking to background and historical work on health, education and social care. It has over 80,000 records of books, reports, journal articles and press coverage of issues related to children and young people dating back to 1996. ChildData also includes the full text of the NCB library Highlight series (for two examples, see right), and all articles from Children & Society, NCB's specialist academic journal published jointly with Wiley-Blackwell.
