Children in Wales has secured three-year funding from the Big Lottery Fund to run a new project working with asylum seeking, refugee and migrant families to protect and safeguard children in those families.
The project will build on work previously carried out by Children in Wales and the Welsh Refugee Council, and will raise awareness of positive parenting methods within families.
The project will develop a comprehensive range of resources so that frontline staff have a full understanding of the child protection and safeguarding issues for asylum, refugee and migrant families.
