NCB Now: Charity partners call on sector to show its worth

A new partnership of leading family charities is calling on voluntary and community sector organisations to work together to demonstrate and share their achievements.

Action for Children, Action for Prisoners Families, The Family and Parenting Institute, and Family Action are joining together to launch a new Department for Education-funded project: Growing our Strengths.

The partnership is working together to help the sector demonstrate that there is a vibrant market of effective voluntary providers working skillfully with vulnerable families and children in their homes and local communities.

Organisations and individuals across the voluntary and community sector are being asked to participate in "knowledge reviews" by completing a questionnaire and sharing their experience with the project group about what already exists as best practice examples.

To get involved, please contact Carina Boyle, strategy development manager at Action for Children on 0789 488 5248 or email carina.boyle@actionforchildren.org.uk
