This report contains research findings on the difference Action for Children services make to the lives of the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people across the UK, enabling them to experience good relationships and achieve their potential.
The report demonstrates the impact the charity has had around early intervention, intensive family support and cost-effectiveness. Highlights from the report include:
- Ninety per cent of parents reported an improvement in their parenting skills after using one of Action for Children's intensive family support services.
- Research by the University of Salford confirmed the charity's success in reducing concerns about neglect.
- Ninety-three per cent of parents were more confident they were doing what was best for their children's health and wellbeing after using health services at an Action for Children centre.
