Youth Work Week gets under way

Hundreds of youth organisations are expected to celebrate Youth Work Week, which runs from 1 to 7 November.

A big push has been made in Wales where the Welsh Assembly Government is using its Thanks Sam youth work brand to promote the week (www.thankssam.org.uk).

Four eight-page regional guides were produced detailing more than 400 events ranging from DJ sessions in Carmarthen to a conference on children's rights in Llanelli. Twenty events were selected to receive £500 funding.
