The National Youth Agency: Youth Work Week

1 min read
This year's Youth Work Week takes place from 1 to 7 November with the twin themes of "resilient and resourceful".

In recognition of the tough times young people are facing Youth Work Week 2009 focuses on two key qualities that youth workers have always helped impart, and which young people are going to need in spades now and in the near futures.

These are resilience - being able to bounce back from life's setbacks and to carry on in pursuit of your aspirations; and resourcefulness - possessing the ability to dig deep inside yourself and use resources that help you respond to life's opportunities and risks.

The National Youth Agency (NYA) invites youth work bodies to use the theme to celebrate the ways in which they help young people deal with the difficulties life can place in their way and carry on to enjoy their lives and meet their potential.
