The blog will include ideas for the week and include thoughts and reflections from a variety of agency staff who are connected to the week's theme of Promoting the Voice and Influence of Young People. As the week approaches it will also list details of activities for the week and the linked activity of Takeover Day on 7 November as they become known. It gives everyone a chance to add comments, ask questions and get involved in debates. The blog can be accessed through the home page of The NYA website or directly though http://blogs.nya.org.uk/yww2008
Youth Work for Health regional events
The National Youth Agency is running a series of regional events for policy makers and managers from local authorities, PCTs and voluntary and community sector organisations, to examine the key role that youth work has in addressing the health issues of young people. Remaining events take place in Liverpool (19 June), Leeds (26), Derby (1 July), Birmingham (4), Brighton (8), Cambridge (15), London (8 September) and Bristol (24). Each event will feature a keynote address by a national figure and all participants will receive a free copy of The NYA's recently published Good Practice Guidelines for Healthy Youth Work.
