Youth Service: Connexions boss to run Barnet service

1 min read

Flo Armstrong, head of Connexions in Barnet, will assume joint responsibility over the youth service and the partnership. Patel has left to become head of youth service at Haringey Council.

A report will be conducted into how the organisations will work together over the long term, the council said.

Barnet's youth service has been under review following an "unsatisfactory" Ofsted report last March.

A spokesperson for Connexions North London, which covers Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest, said: "Connexions and Barnet Youth Service have been working well together, so following the departure of Patel we are looking to see how to move things forward. The changes in Barnet could be seen as a pilot for other youth services in the area."
