YOUTH SERVICE: Barnet under review after Ofsted criticism

1 min read

The audit will affect 25,000 people aged 13 to 19, covering all services provided for them in the area.

Kim Wright, head of leisure and youth services at Barnet, said: "If the outcomes of this review do not prompt a change in the services then we will not have done the job properly. It is a complex and cross-cutting review. It is not just restricted to the leisure and youth service: it will address youth issues throughout the borough. We are carrying out this reorganisation because we want to improve the outcomes of our services for young people."

Initial work on the overhaul began in May and Wright is hopeful that the findings will be completed by next April.
