Youth Opportunity Fund: Hughes in warning to councils on funds

During a debate in the House of Commons last week, Hughes said she was keeping an eye on a number of authorities. She highlighted Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council, which the MP for Stourbridge, Lynda Waltho, complained is cutting its grants to voluntary sector projects.

More than 9,000 young people have been involved in making decisions about how the funds are used, with a further 24,000 involved in developing bids.
