Twenty-two-year-old Tim Perry isn't the type of young person who would ordinarily be picked to have a major say in how hundreds of thousands of government money is spent on activities for young people each year. Tim has learning difficulties, but, despite this, he is one of 12 young people who sit on Worcestershire's Floss assessors' panel.
The young people who sit on Floss - which stands for Funding Lots of Super Stuff - have awarded around a million pounds in youth opportunity and youth capital fund money to young people's projects over the past four years.
Tim says being part of the panel has been beneficial. "It's helped me grow up," he says. "It's made me more confident and helped me trust others. It's helped me at college and I think it will help when I go on to live independently."
