The Northern Ireland Policing Board has asked the forum to devise a three-year consultation to identify issues that concern young people, which will then feed into the development of its policing plan.
Rosemary Baauw, community engagement liaison officer for the board, said: "Young people are usually under-represented in surveys and the idea is to consult them directly. We want young people from the forum going out on the streets and shopping centres to interview others, especially hard-to-reach groups."
