Efforts to give Northern Ireland's young people more influence will step up a gear next week with the formation of a working group.
The group will bring together several youth organisations to examine howthe Northern Ireland Youth Forum should change to give young people abigger say in children's services.
The intention is to give the forum, which will be reinvented as theNorthern Ireland Network for Youth, a bigger role in advising ongovernment policy.
David Guilfoyle, chief executive of the Youth Council for NorthernIreland, will chair the group. He told Children Now the group is likelyto look at equivalent models in the UK such as the British YouthCouncil.
