Youth centre name decided by vote

Youth Work
Young people across Rotherham have been voting on a name for a new 3.4m Myplace youth centre.

Hundreds of young people took part during Local Democracy Week in October after a list of 99 names was whittled down to six. The final result has been delayed while Rotherham's youth cabinet examines possible copyright issues.

Councillor Shaun Wright, cabinet member for children and young people's services, said: "Young people have been at the heart of this project from the start. It's great to see that continuing through this vote."
