The youth service was the first local authority youth service in the country to receive the award for the quality of its services to young people three years ago. Now its application for revalidation for a further three years has been approved by the agency's executive board, making it the first organisation to renew its commitment to quality.
The Quality Mark enables organisations to assess themselves against a range of indicators to support an organisation's development and improvement.
Fiona Blacke, chief executive of the National Youth Agency, said: "Congratulations to Rotherham for renewing its Quality Mark. Young people deserve the highest quality services, but these do not just happen by accident. They require careful planning, skilled and committed staff and sufficient resources - all attributes that the Quality Mark sets out to capture."
