Young people in Peckham, south London, made and starred in a 15-minute action film called The Blox that received its first showing at the Peckham Premier cinema last week.
The Blox is about two brothers caught up in gangs and drugs, and was produced by members of the Southwark Young People's Magazine Project.
Twenty-four-year-old writer and director, Damien Bent, said: "We are in discussions with the youth service about setting up a Southwark film festival next year, and we are holding free film masterclasses for 14 to 25-year-olds at a local school."
