Young people get say on parkour site

1 min read Youth Work
Young people are to be consulted on the design of a dedicated free-running site in East Sussex.

Peacehaven and Telscombe's regeneration organisation Regen is spearheading the plan to give young people in the town a purpose-built area to practise the activity.

Free running, or parkour, is the practice of jumping large distances or heights between buildings or from railings. The activity has featured in adverts for the BBC and the James Bond film Casino Royale.

Liz Lee, chair of Regen, said the consultation event would take place later this month to allow young people to have their say on the completed plans for the site.

Telscombe Town Council is due to decide on whether the area will get the go-ahead next month.
