Young parents start newsletter

Health
A group of young parents in Darlington have started a newsletter to tell other young mums and dads about the issues they face.

The 10 young parents are finishing the first newsletter, which they decided to produce through a support group they set up earlier this year. The newsletter contains useful contacts, information on services, real-life stories on the group members and will cover health issues with the help of their health visitor.

The young mums and dads producing the newsletter are aged between 17- and 21-years-old. Sarah Bell, of Darlington youth service, which has been helping the parents with the project, said: "It's about using their own experiences."
