During the yoga sessions, children go on a "magical journey" where they meet Tatty Bumpkin, a bendy doll, who teaches them how to slither like a snake and roar like a lion. They finish with breathing exercises to calm the children. Another highlight of the festival, which started on 1 July and which will feature more than 100 events, will be a reading from poet Roger McGough. The festival, now in its second year, is organised by children's museum Eureka! and Square Chapel Centre for the Arts, both of which are based in Halifax. www.thejulyproject.co.uk.
