On the play side, I help support schemes by offering training andsignposting them to training and funding. I sometimes organiseactivities in playschemes and I co-ordinate Playday in Oxfordshire. Ialso co-ordinate the Oxford City Youth Forum. We have debates on youngpeople's issues that can result in action. Recently I took a group ofyoung people to lobby Margaret Hodge, minister of state for industry andthe regions, about making a risk assessment compulsory for abusiveparents that have left the family home and wish to see theirchildren.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? The part I like best iswhen I make things happen for the play schemes. I know it's part of myjob but the smile on the young people's faces says it all for me.
