Workplace: Who's in your meetings? - Bill Hibberd, director, The Parent Organisation

1 min read
What exactly do you do? The Parent Organisation believes that if we help to create better parents, they in turn will create better parents.

We provide parents with the knowledge, guidance and support they need to make informed choices about the way they raise their children. Although we sometimes help individual parents, we focus on the big picture and try to ensure that the common-sense view of what being a parent involves is represented. For example, we lobby Parliament on parents' behalf.

Describe a typical day? I am responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation, and always begin the day by updating our web site with parent-focused news. I also monitor the online discussion forum to make sure that it is not abused and I respond to queries.
