Workplace: Who's in your meetings?

1 min read
Elaine Fox, community nursery nurse, Fitzalan Medical Centre, West Sussex.

What exactly do you do? I work with the health visiting team and I generally assist with anything they want me to do. That includes running groups for antenatal and postnatal mums, facilitating a breast-feeding support group and helping at baby clinics. I also do home visits and hearing and development checks on babies.

Describe a typical day. We normally get in about 9am and check messages. We have a drop-in clinic most mornings from 9.30am to 10.30am. After that I may do some home visits that I've previously arranged or some speech and language assessments. And I may have one of my groups in the afternoon.
