What exactly do you do? I identify areas in community, education, and healthcare settings where sexual health services can be made more accessible and appropriate for boys and young men. I then help people who work with young men to expand their roles in areas such as information-giving, encouraging young men's skills in negotiating safer sex or refusing sex, and promoting young men's confidence in accessing contraceptive services and father support services. This often involves working with more "hard-to-reach" young men such as young offenders, and those excluded from school or who are leaving care.
Describe a typical day. My role is a new and developing one and I have been in post for only a month, but I imagine that one day will be very different from the next.
