The common assessment framework is one of the foundations of efforts toreform children's services. It provides a way in which all children'sservices professionals can communicate, from early years to socialworker to health professional to youth worker.
Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council has already run a number of trialsof the framework and is now set to introduce it across the borough.
To aid this process the borough is now looking to recruit a commonassessment framework co-ordinator. The co-ordinator's role is two-fold.Firstly, he or she will train and support Rochdale's children's servicesworkers to use the framework and, secondly, the co-ordinator will ensurethat the framework results in improvements to services.
