Campaign aims
"Where's Enfield?" used to be a common response from social workers whenasked whether they'd consider a job in the council's children's servicesdepartment. So last year a campaign was launched to make Enfield standout from the crowd.
The need for quality staff was clear; local children and young peopleare more likely to live in disadvantaged areas than the population as awhole, while the proportion of children entitled to free school mealshas increased to above the national average, even for comparableareas.
The aim of the campaign was to recruit social workers with the rightexperience for different teams within the service. The council alsowanted to get more people to visit its web site to look for jobs.
