1 min read Social Care Youth Justice
So what does Rainer actually do?

Rainer works in 115 communities across the country.Projects vary from supported housing schemes for young people to youth justice programmes working in the heart of council estates or even from within the police station.

- What qualities are required from workers?

One staff member sums up the culture as "stickability".You might be working with a young person who has slipped up a number of times, or who repeatedly turns down offers of support. The ability to stick with them and to believe in them is central to everything Rainer does.

- What are their main challenges?

There are new challenges every day.The young people Rainer works with don't fit neatly into categories, so finding the best mix of support for them and being able to take a wider perspective is essential.
