Centrepoint is a national charity working to improve the lives ofsocially excluded homeless young people. It provides a range ofservices, including emergency night shelters and short-stay hostels'specialist projects for care leavers, ex-offenders, single parents,foyers and floating support services. These provide the foundations foryoung people to tackle the issues that led to them becoming homeless anddevelop skills for a sustainable future. Centrepoint will mark its 40thanniversary in 2009 and has helped more than 70,000 young homelesspeople since its inception.

Centrepoint's head office is in London and most of its direct provisionservices are based in and around the capital, but it has a growingpresence in the Midlands and the North East.
