The foundation aims to support young people, with a special focus onpromoting the health and education of disadvantaged young people.
How much is on offer: There is no minimum or maximum limit. Thefoundation's director can approve grants up to 5,000 and thecommittee approves grants up to 10,000. Any grant exceeding thatamount must be authorised by the charity's trustees. Grants of more than50,000 are not normally made and there is no applicationdeadline.
What it will fund: Charities or projects that benefit the mostdisadvantaged children and young people will be prioritised. Educationalprojects will receive funding for training, sports equipment,activity-based learning and transport. Health initiatives will getfunding for hospices, medical equipment, care facilities, activity-basedholidays and awareness campaigns. Both types of projects willoccasionally receive cash to pay for the costs of project staff.
