Work Wise: Consultation of the week - Draft Quality Requirementsfor Sexual Health Services

1 min read Health
This Welsh Assembly Government consultation seeks views on a set of sexual health quality requirements.

Some of the proposals would ensure all young people receive effective education about sex and relationships and that action is taken to reduce rates of unintended teenage pregnancy.

The Sexual Health Quality Requirements have been devised by looking at examples of good practice and are designed to ensure that high quality services are available across Wales.

The aim of the requirements is to provide a framework for sharing information and best practice, strengthen established links and build new partnerships. They are also intended to identify gaps in service delivery that can be filled through integrated working of agencies. The evidence of effective promotion of positive sexual health will also be considered. The framework will be used to oversee the implementation, co-ordination and evaluation of the regulations within the community and promotion and advertising of sexual health services.
