The consultation describes the work undertaken by religious organisations that work with offenders in a variety of settings, including the community, young offender institutions and prisons. It considers the barriers that these organisations face when developing their work and looks at finding solutions to better inform, consult and involve groups who work to support offenders.
Responses will be used to inform a new government strategy to reduce re-offending and a new National Offender Management Service Third Sector Action Plan. The Youth Justice Board will also draw on the responses to inform discussions about the future of working with the third sector.
Closing date 22 February.
