Wesley Court Youth Centre was built by the Methodist Church in 1964, and has housed a youth centre and information project run by Vale of Glamorgan Youth Service since 1990.
A Methodist Church spokesman said: "The building needed a massive investment and neither the Church nor the local authority had the funds."
Andy Borsden, area youth officer for Vale of Glamorgan, said Wesley Court had been at the forefront of social inclusion work in the area. The centre provided provision on four days a week. This provision will continue on two days a week at Murchfield Community Centre.
