I started coming to Knighton Youth Centre when I was 11. My brother Adam introduced me to it. It is open two nights a week during term time, and I come on Thursdays.
The first activity I took part in involved making life-size models of sheep using renewable resources, which was a lot of fun and featured on the local news.
The day trips are exciting too. We recently went to Alton Towers and I went on two really high rides. I don't like heights, so I felt really glad to have done it.
Over the summer holidays, the project runs a programme called Powys Extreme. As part of this, I helped to organise and took part in the local carnival.
Since coming to Knighton, my self-confidence has improved and I have become interested in health and exercise. The project is next to the leisure centre, where I hope to use the fitness equipment when I turn 14.
