Down at my club - Maitland Park Youth Club, north London

I've been coming to the Maitland Park Youth Club since summer. I found out about it through some friends, as they all come here too. We come here to just chill out, play some pool or table-tennis, and sometimes we cook or make smoothies.

We're currently applying to get funding from the council for a new youth club building as the old one is falling apart. We were all involved in the application process, and filled in questionnaires about what activities would attract us to the club.

In summer, we went on trips to Madame Tussauds, the London Eye and Alton Towers. We also went cable skiing. It's like water skiing and was really fun.

Some people came in to give us advice about stopping smoking. It was really useful and did help me stop.

The best thing about the club is being able to come and hang out, listen to the radio and chat with friends.
