The club put on dance classes for a few weeks on Wednesday nights, which we wanted to continue, so we applied for funding and received £7,000 from the youth opportunity fund. We used this money to bring in a proper dance teacher who taught us choreography, and how to use our own inspiration to finish routines.
We're going to perform at Reading University as part of the local youth celebration day in November. It's when all the youth clubs in the area come together to show what they've been up to. We'll then receive our bronze Youth Achievement Award, which I'm really looking forward to. I used to do street-dance but had to give it up when I was studying for my GCSEs. In the future, I'd like to be a part-time choreographer and also work with children.
