The Olympic Delivery Authority

What have they done? Children from primary schools across east London have put together a special edition of the Shoreditch Star newspaper as part of a scheme run by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA).

The special issue of the paper explores pupils' views on public art and design, inspired by arts projects taking place on the Olympic Park site. Each of the five schools worked on a different section of the publication, which has now been printed for distribution to schools across the five Olympic host boroughs.

How did it go? ODA chairman John Armitt says the project gave a unique insight into pupils' thoughts on the 2012 games and the importance of public art. "The schoolchildren have produced a fantastic publication which perfectly captures the energy, colour and excitement of the Olympic Park," he explains. "Their work will provide a huge inspiration to everyone involved in the project."
